WHEN: Thursday, December 5, 2019 – 9:45 a.m. WHERE: 2nd District Police Station, 4823 Rugby Avenue, Bethesda, Community Room WHAT: Kangas, Owls, Piglets, and Winnie the Pooh plush being donated by Leon Seeman, Executive Director of Adventure Theatre MTC and Chil Kong, Artistic Director of Adventure Theatre MTC to Police Chief Marcus Jones, FJC Director Thomas Manion, and Sheriff Darren Popkin. As well as an opportunity to learn more about the services offered to adults and children at the Family Justice Center. For the duration of Adventure Theatre MTC’s production of Winnie the Pooh the theater partnered with the Montgomery County Police Department and held a teddy bear drive with a goal to donate them to children dealing with abuse or trauma. These bears will be used by the FJC and the police department to help support children going through traumatic events such as domestic violence and severe traffic collisions.
