1) Currently, The Children's Inn at NIH has suspended all visitors, including over 200 volunteers, scheduled tours, etc. We have mandated a health screening for every person prior to entering the building, and limited on-site staff to essential employees while the majority of our staff is working from home. We've also shifted to virtual programming activities for Inn residents on-site and at home, stopped trips to the grocery store (we are now getting groceries delivered for our families), enhanced cleaning standards, and more. 2) Located on the National Institutes of Health (NIH) campus, The Children's Inn is a nonprofit hospitality house that offers free lodging and supportive services to families of children with rare and serious illnesses whose best hope for a treatment or cure is a clinical trial at the NIH. The Children’s Inn houses more than 1,500 children and their families every year from across the United States and the world, free of charge, to help reduce the burden of illness on families and make childhood possible today and a cure possible tomorrow. 3) The most impactful ways that supporters can make an immediate difference for families with seriously ill children whose treatments cannot wait are by making a financial contribution (visit childrensinn.org) or donating items on our Amazon Wish List (https://www.amazon.com/.../1C34U2EKZBOF4/ref=cm_sw_su_w).
