Bethesda Cares is happy to be the recipient of a grant from the RBC Foundation via a recommendation from Melanie Folstad. Bethesda Cares has since 1988 worked to end homelessness in Montgomery County. The organization employs a strategy of ending homelessness by placing individuals experiencing homelessness into housing units throughout Montgomery County. During this time, Bethesda Cares is working directly with the population of individuals experiencing homelessness in the Bethesda area to help them isolate and get them out of harm’s way. We are so grateful for the support of the community in helping us fulfill this mission, particularly for the support of local businesses such as RBC Wealth Management, which has been a valued financial and strategic partner over the past several years. RBC Wealth Management believes the strength of the firm is directly tied to the well-being of the communities where they do business. In support of this belief, the RBC Foundation - USA offers grants to non-profit organizations in our communities where employees are actively involved. In 2019, the Foundation awarded more than 1,400 grants exceeding $2.6 million.
